Residents' concerns about the Renewable Energy Center were again voiced during Eastern's second informational meeting about the center Friday. The plant, which will be built at the intersection of 18th Street and Edgar Drive, will burn synthetic natural gas derived from wood chips to heat and cool the campus.

As Holly Hanson was working on a gesture drawing of a nude model for her life drawing class, the model, who was standing on his tip-toes, started to shake violently.

"We all wondered why he had chosen a pose that we knew he wouldn't be able to hold for two minutes," said Hanson, junior in FAA.

Although Courtni Hall, a senior Spanish and marketing major, was born in Calcutta, India, she said a dream of hers is to become Miss USA.

"I would love to be the first title holder from Indiana to bring home the national title," she said. "It has been a dream of mine to win Indiana, go to Miss USA, then, hopefully win Miss USA, then go to Miss Universe, representing the USA, the country I've grown up in, but looking like Miss India.

Authorities at the University of Illinois are trying to find out how a convicted sex offender came to be living inside a campus library.

University of Illinois Police Lt. Roy Acree says 21-year-old Eric J. Kaminski, who gave a Champaign address, was discovered early Thursday morning at the Undergraduate Library in Urbana.
